What is IADR?

The International Association for Dental Research (IADR), headquartered in Alexandria, Va., is a non-profit organization with nearly 12,000 members worldwide. Its mission is: (1) to advance research and increase knowledge for the improvement of oral health worldwide; (2) to support and represent the oral health research community; and (3) to facilitate the communication and application of research findings

How much are IADR dues?

The following are the dues for the IADR membership categories for 2016:

Starting in 2015, IADR Member and Retired Member dues include membership in one IADR Scientific Group/Network. IADR student members must join at least one Group/Network, and may join up to a total of three Groups/Networks at no charge. IADR Affiliate Members are not eligible to join Groups/Networks. IADR Retired membership is available to individuals who have 25 years of consecutive membership in the Association and are no longer working full time for remuneration. Some IADR Divisions, Sections and Regions may also charge dues, please refer to the membership application for more information.

How do I join IADR?

You may join online, or if you prefer to pay by check, print the form located at www.iadr.org/membership and send it with payment via fax or mail. Upon receipt and processing of your application, IADR will send you an ID card, receipt and welcome package. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing and delivery.

When is the next IADR General Session & Exhibition?

The 94th General Session & Exhibition of the IADR, held in conjunction with the 3rd Meeting of the IADR Asia Pacific Region and the 35th Annual Meeting of the IADR Korean Division, will be June 22-25, 2016 in Seoul, Korea. For more information, go to the IADR General Session website.

What is the JDR and how can I subscribe?

The Journal of Dental Research (JDR) is the flagship journal of the IADR and the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), the largest Division of the IADR. To subscribe please indicate on your membership renewal notice or new member application or contact the IADR Global Headquarters for an invoice.

What is JDR Clinical & Translational Research and how can I subscribe?

JDR Clinical & Translational Research – a new journal designed for IADR members and other oral health research leaders to publish their research and effectively translate their findings to those who need the information to deliver evidence-based prevention and care.  IADR members receive online access with membership.  Print copies of the journal may be purchased in addition to online access by selecting during the membership renewal process or contacting the IADR Global Headquarters at [email protected].

How do I wire transfer money to the Association?

Is the IADR exempt from sales tax?

Even though the IADR is considered not-for-profit and is exempt from income tax, the Association still must pay sales tax.

What is IADR’s refund policy?

IADR’s membership and publications refund policy is listed below and online at www.iadr.org/membershiprefund.

  • Refunds due to an error by the IADR/AADR will be processed immediately and in full.
  • A $20 processing fee will be withheld from all other refunds.
  • Overpayment of $30 or less will be treated as a contribution and will not be refunded. 
  • Refunds will normally be sent in the same manner as the original payment (i.e., checks will be issued for payments by check, and credit cards will be credited for payments by credit card). If a wire transfer is requested, IADR/AADR will pass on all wire transfer fees to the recipient.
  • Please allow 6-8 weeks for your refund to be processed.
  • No refunds for membership or member journal subscriptions will be given after the IADR General Session each year, according the IADR Constitution & Bylaws.

How can I get my ID number?

New members receive ID cards upon joining, and renewing members are sent an updated card upon paying dues each year. If you have lost your ID number, please contact the Global Headquarters at [email protected] to receive your number.

I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?

Your password can be sent to you automatically if the Global Headquarters has your email address on file. Please go to https://iadr.enoah.com/default.aspx and click on the link marked “Forgotten your User Name and/or Password?” to request your password. Your user name or email is required for your request to be processed. If your account information cannot be located, you will need to activate your account at https://iadr.enoah.com/activate.

How can I change my password?

You will need to log into the Members Only area to change your password. Then select Edit My Profile and follow on-screen instructions.

How can I change my User Name?

Once you have activated your account and set your user name, you will not be able to change it.
