Do you require an official letter of invitation to initiate the visa process?
Please read the information below to determine if an invitation letter is required.
It is never too early to start working on getting your visa. We advise to start the visa process at least five months before the conference. Please check with the local embassy or consulate of the Republic of Korea to obtain the necessary documents as soon as possible. IADR encourages applicants to bring their English-language resume with a list of their published articles and research topics to the interview as well.
All visitors to the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and visa. Visitors from countries who have a special agreement with the Republic of Korea may be exempt from the visa requirement and can stay in the Republic of Korea without a visa for up to 90 days, depending on the type of the agreement between the two countries.
Other countries may be designated visa-free entry for a certain number of days. Please click here (scroll down to the “Designated Visa-Free Entry” area) to view these countries.
Participants residing in countries where on Korean consulates or embassies are available should obtain the visa from the nearest embassy or consulate of the Republic of Korea.

Upon completion of your registration, invitation letters will be sent by email as a PDF attachment. If you require an additional printed letter sent by first class international mail, please check the appropriate box below. Express shipping of printed invitation letters is available for an additional fee. In the event of a cancellation of registration, express shipping fees for invitation letters are non-refundable (for both delegates and accompanying persons).
Only registered delegates and accompanying persons attending the General Session are eligible to receive invitation letters.
