Journal of Dental Research

Access to the Journal of Dental Research (JDR) is available to members online. For those interested in a print subscription, IADR membership provides a deep discount. The JDR contains the results of original investigations in all sciences relevant to dentistry and the oral cavity and associated structures and is one of the most cited dental journal. The JDR ranks #2 in the Two-Year Impact Factor rankings with a rating of 4.602,  #1 in Article Influence and #1 in Eigenfactor® Score with a score of 0.02331 in ranked journals in the “Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine” category. Additionally, the JDR’s 5-year Impact Factor surpassed 5.0 for the first time at 5.024—ranking #2 of 89 journals—and up from 4.688 last year. JDR Clinical & Translational Research (JDR CTR)

The JDR Clinical & Translational Research is a peer-reviewed, quarterly journal that encompasses all areas of clinical and translational research in the dental, oral and craniofacial sciences. The JDR Clinical & Translational Research is dedicated to publishing original research at the interface between discovery science and clinical application, with the translation of research into healthcare delivery systems at the individual patient, clinical practice, and community levels.

Advances in Dental Research 

Advances in Dental Research, an E-supplement to the Journal of Dental Research, is a forum for detailed exploration and timely discussion of significant research developments in the sciences relevant to dentistry and to the chemistry, biology, and function of the oral cavity in health and disease. The proceedings of major conferences, workshops and symposia are published in this journal.

Global Research Update 

Each month, you will receive the Global Research Update via email. If you have not provided the IADR with your email address, you may do so by emailing [email protected] or by updating your profile. Many Groups, Networks, Divisions and Sections also have additional newsletters and communications for members at the local level.

An AADR-only monthly e-newsletter featuring AADR advocacy efforts, Members in the News and AADR events.

25% Discount on Wiley Print Books

Membership includes access to many members-only features on the IADR website (www.iadr.org). A key feature is a searchable membership directory, which contains names and addresses, as well as telephone, fax, and email information, for all IADR members throughout the world.

Scientific Group & Network Participation

Starting in 2015, IADR Member and Retired Member dues include membership in one IADR Scientific Group/Network. IADR student members must join at least one Group/Network, and may join up to a total of three Groups/Networks at no charge. IADR Affiliate Members are not eligible to join Groups/Networks. AADR Section Participation

AADR Members are part of a local section based on their geographic location. AADR Sections promote IADR/AADR membership within their local institutions and organizations, and many sections hold meetings at the AADR Annual Meeting and organize events throughout the year.

Career Center

Connect yourself with new employment opportunities with our Career Center by posting a job or searching for one. This resource is also helping connect Universities, Dental Schools, Institutions and Corporations with our specialized niche.

IADR/AADR Knowledge Community

IADR members have complimentary access to the recordings available in the IADR/AADR Knowledge Community. The Knowledge Community hosts audio and video recordings from IADR and AADR meetings. By watching and completing a brief quiz on each event, individuals may receive ADA CERP credit. To explore this membership benefit, please log in to the IADR members-only section and select “IADR/AADR Knowledge Community” under “Educational Resources.”

Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities

Opportunities to participate in the governance process of the AADR are numerous, whether as a committee member or chair, or in an elected position at the Division level.

Awards and Fellowships

Through numerous sponsorships and donations, AADR is able to administer several awards and fellowships each year. These programs are excellent resources for further research development, as well as for recognition of your work in the field.

Advocacy

Working together with the AADR Government Affairs Committee (GAC) and Friends of National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research NIDCR (FNIDCR) patient advocates, AADR members strive to support National Institutes of Health (NIH) and NIDCR funding and other related federal agencies. AADR members stay informed through Government Action Alerts at critical points in the legislative cycle. Members can contact elected officials about the latest issues that are important to the oral health research community through the online AADR Legislative Action Center and read the latest updates on the AADR Government Affairs blog

AADR National Student Research Group (NSRG)

The mission of the AADR NSRG is to foster an environment in every dental school whereby students interested in enriching their dental education through research are encouraged to do so. The NSRG is a Scientific Group of the AADR composed of a network of self-governing local Student Research Group (SRG) chapters at dental schools, and is led nationally by officers elected through a majority of votes from all members. All AADR student members are part of the AADR NSRG and are eligible to participate in their programs and activities.
