The Education Research Group (ERG) invites proposals of up to $2,500 USD for consideration. The ERG Grant is designed to fund any educational research endeavor that leads to the promotion or dissemination of effective learning and/or teaching activities in dental education.
Potential research areas include but are not limited to: educational practice; teaching and learning dynamics; teaching evaluation, curriculum design, program evaluation, and outcomes evaluation at all levels (professional and public); competency evaluation (validity and reliability); applications of new technologies, methodologies, teaching and research approaches, characteristics of institutions, educators, and students, licensing and certification, quality assurance, continuing competence, and continuing professional development.
The primary purposes of this grant are to:
- encourage high quality educational research projects;
- encourage feasibility studies in innovative areas;
- promote collaborations to enhance new and existing projects and partnerships; and
- support dissemination of good practice to a wider audience.
Active Members of the ERG are eligible to apply. Members of the ERG Research Grant Committee and specially appointed reviewers are not eligible.
